Overview
Ownership control
dCompany is the safest choice for company and group management in an ever-changing landscape of owners, subsidiaries, board members, and other stakeholders. You get a complete, always-accurate picture of who owns what — from individual share transactions to multi-layer ownership structures across companies and borders.
A shareholder register built for professionals
The shareholder register in dCompany records every transaction that has ever taken place in your company — purchases, sales, gifts, inheritance, splits, reverse splits, capital increases, and more. Every transaction is linked to specific share numbers, so you always know exactly which shares belong to whom and what was paid for them.
Norwegian law requires companies to keep a shareholder register going back at least ten years. dCompany maintains this record automatically and keeps it in sync with the Tax Agency's shareholder register statement.
Replay and historical corrections
If you discover an error in a historical transaction, you don't have to re-enter everything manually. dCompany lets you correct the record at the point of the mistake. The system then replays all subsequent transactions automatically, so the entire history recalculates in the correct order.
This makes it practical to maintain a complete transaction history from incorporation — not just from the date you joined dCompany.
Direct and indirect ownership
The owner map gives you a visual overview of your full ownership structure, tracing each shareholder layer by layer right up to the personal beneficial owners. You can see:
- Which legal entities hold shares directly
- What those entities are themselves owned by
- Who the underlying personal shareholders are
This is particularly useful for groups, holding structures, and companies with institutional or fund investors.
Ownership across holding structures
dCompany connects shareholder registers across companies and national borders. If you manage a group, you can see the full structure in one place — including subsidiaries, cross-holdings, and foreign entities. Ownership percentages update automatically as transactions are registered.
