Add email addresses
The Contacts module is the fastest way to add or update email addresses for people who appear across multiple companies — without opening each company separately.
How contact details work
In dCompany, contact information is stored per company. A person who holds roles across ten companies can have a different email registered in each one. The Contacts module lets you see and edit all of them from one place.
What the Contacts module shows
Select Contacts from the top navigation. You'll find three sub-tabs:
- Shareholders — all shareholders across your companies
- Admins — users with an admin role
- Board and CEO — board members, chairpersons, CEOs, and observers
Each row shows the contact's name, their companies, the email address registered, and when they last logged in. If a contact appears in more than one company, hover over the companies link to see the full list.
Find contacts with missing emails
Check Missing email in the filter bar to show only contacts without a registered email. The number in brackets tells you how many there are across your companies.
The Email column shows three states:
- An email address — contact is set for that company
- Not set — no email registered
- Incomplete — email is missing for one or more of their companies
Add or update an email across companies
- Click a contact row to open their detail panel.
- Click Edit in the top-right corner.
- Select Email from the dropdown.
- In the Bulk-edit Email dialog, type the email address.
- Under Select companies to update, choose which companies to apply it to. Use Select all to apply it everywhere, or uncheck individual companies to skip them.
- Click Update all to save.
The email is now set for all selected companies in one step.
