Transactions
Transaction types
dCompany supports every transaction type across the full company lifecycle — from onboarding a new company through day-to-day share transfers, corporate events, and final liquidation.
When onboarding a new company
When you add a new company to dCompany, two special transaction types are available to establish the opening register:
Incorporation — registers the founding of the company with the initial share capital and shareholders.
Auto-import — pulls existing data from public sources so you don't have to enter it manually:
- Company information and share capital from the Entity Register (Enhetsregisteret)
- Shareholder information from your most recent shareholder register statement from the Tax Agency
Use Auto-import when onboarding a company that already has a history in the Norwegian registers.
Ongoing transaction types
Once the register is established, the following types are available for day-to-day share administration:
| Type | When to use |

| Buy / sell | Transfer of shares between shareholders at an agreed price |
| Gift | Transfer of shares without consideration |
| Inheritance | Transfer of shares following the death of a shareholder |
| Other transfer | Any share transfer not covered by the above |

| Cancellation of shares | Reduction of share capital by retiring existing shares |
| Reduction of nominal value | Reduce the nominal value per share (share capital reduction) |
| Increase of nominal value | Increase the nominal value per share |
| Split | Divide existing shares into a higher number of shares at a lower nominal value |
| Reverse split | Consolidate existing shares into a lower number at a higher nominal value |
